Oh, the things I love about Bellingham, let me count the ways. It’s my favorite place we’ve ever lived. And, dare I say it, it’s my favorite place to do an engagement session. There are no bad places to do a shoot. From downtown Fairhaven to the beaches to all the random fields and hiking trails. Not to mention, Mt Baker is only an hour and a half away for all those Mt Baker elopements. Hint, hint. Hire me for those elopements ya’ll.

I’d like to say that Bellingham is Washington’s best kept secret but after this New York Times article naming it as one of the best places to live…not so secret anymore!

Engagement Session in a Field

These two actually got engaged AFTER our shoot. Shortly after relaunching myself in the photo game (after being almost entirely video for five years), I put a call out to Instagram gods for a couple who wanted some photos. These two pulled out all the cute stops with their Gen Z casual cuteness. It’s what dreams are made of!

People so good it hurts

Claire is one of those people who quite literally lights up a room. I say literally because her voice, her laugh, her genuine joy permeates wherever she is. Doing her pre-engagement photo session was just as fun an experience as I would have imagined.

And she’s met her match with Jared who is calm and collected with a cheeky smile and a cute bunny tattoo. I wasn’t kidding about their Gen Z coolness. When a friend commented that the shoot looked like one of those dream shoots with such cool clients—he’s not wrong! These two made shooting and editing a blast!
